On the 13th of January, in the frame of the annual New Year's concert of the MAV Symphony orchestra, Hollókői conducted some real musical curiosities: rediscovered polkas, waltzes, and mazurkas by Imre Széchenyi, an aristocrat-composer, contemporary of Johann Strauss. On the same concert, he also appeared as violin soloist with pieces by Hubay and Strauss.

On the 6th of October, Holloköi will make his debut with Lahti Symphony Orchestra. On the program is Beethoven: King Stephan Overture, Ligeti: Violin Concerto, Liszt: Mefisto Valse and Kodály: Peacock Variations.  Soloist is the Hungarian virtuoso Barnabás Kelemen.

The final concert of the National Master Orchestra Conducting program took place on the 3rd of July in Groningen with the Noord Netherlands Orchestra. Huba Hollokoi conducted Bartók's 1st Violin Concerto with Eeva Koskinen as soloist, and Romeo and Julia by Tchaikovsky. The second half of the exam concert was conducted by Konradin Herzog.

Debut with HET Symfonieorkest

September 2014

Huba Hollókői conducted his debut with HET Symfonieorkest in Almelo. The City Hall was fully packed. The audience gave a warm welcome to the orchestra and enjoyed the Egmont Overture from Beethoven and the 5th symphony of Sibelius.
